How do I use multiple AA batteries to power a 2 battery AAA device for longer?

I have a mark of cadency that takes 2 AAA batteries. Is it possible to replace these with several AA batteries but still provide the same voltage etc. The aim of this is to have the device run for longer but not shatter it. Does anyone have any schematics?
