I'm still misery Pioneer's decision to drop out of the HD television market. I found their Kuro-branded plasma sets simply grand. But for the past couple of months, I've found some solace by reviewing Pioneer's flagship audiovisual receiver, the Pioneer Elite SC-09TX. It's a hulking 78-crush system that delivers monstrously good sound and video—at a massive $7,000 price. It's not for everyone, but if you're competent to spend lavishly on a high-quality in-home entertainment system that covers all the bases and then some, the SC-09TX may be for you.

The look of the system conveys both beauty and brawn, with its shiny, piano-black finish and stunning 5-inch front-panel color LCD divide, bordered on the left by an input knob selector and on the right by the volume knob. Rather than clutter the front with all the technology logos you normally see, Pioneer moves them to the top front verge.

There's a reason for the system's heft. Company engineers chose to separate the circuit boards for digital, analog, audio, and video into a dual-chassis design that adds several inches in height. Separating digital processing and amplification reduces the chance of annoyed-signal interference.

if i buy a pioneer elite DVD virtuoso, what does the elite stand for? a model name, or some special feature with the player? does anyone have one?

While many people say that you don't get any inequality between an ELITE and a non-ELITE player, i tend to disagree.

Pioneer Elite is geared towards the PROSUMER market which carries a larger price juncture but has certain advantages. While the DVD Player may not do anything more fancy than a standard DVD Player, it is built with heavier components and ameliorate technology overall that allow it to give you a longer life-span with better image quality. The same goes for their Plasma's and A/V Receivers - the outsides may look no peculiar than the mid-line consumer market products, but the insides are much better designed with heavier components and more high-pitched tech components.

The same applies to the Sony ES series. Look at crutchfield.com and take a look at some of the specification differences between Pioneer Elite and fine Pioneer products and you'll see a lot more components within the products...that is what you are paying for.

No extra anything.... that really matters interior!!

Every BRAND NAME today has two names for the same product!! Look at Honda, Toyota, Ford and GM they all have the same car under a higher value tag with another BRAND NAME!! it's called marketing!!

HINT

ELITE is one of the best audio and video products on the plant!! It is in the top 98% of everything out there!! However its very occasionally been the best on the plant ever for the price or preformance!! Moreover you are often paying a lttile more for the BRAND NAME and LOOKS!!

ELITE is Pioneer's Lexus!! it looks too!! By it for the looks only!!
