You can buy your Mum flowers… write her name in the sand…. OR — you can bring her along to the first ever Gathered Market in the Mall and let her eat, drink and shop to her heart’s content!
You heard right. Gathered is getting ready to make a monthly appearance at the Gawler Place Canopy in Rundle Mall, and is kicking off this inaugural event on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 14!
For those who haven’t yet experienced Gathered before — it’s the ultimate showcase of SA’s small local businesses, where you can purchase everything from fashion, art, homewares, food and drinks, all whilst knowing that you are supporting SA’s own. There will even be a bar (please shop responsibly)!
With live music and designated eating areas with tables and chairs, shoppers can refuel from all the spending with some lunch and a wine, and soak up the incredible atmosphere that Gathered is so well known for.
Here’s a little sneak peek of the vendors:
Food & Drink
You won’t struggle to find this stall — just follow your nose! If you haven’t tried their traditional Turkish Gözleme, you need to do so, pronto! Your only problem will be deciding on which flavour to order.

These Latin American delights are made from corn and stuffed with different fillings ranging from cheese to pulled pork. Yum! Oh, and for the sensitive tummies out there — they’re gluten free.
Deliciously decadent donuts that, believe it or not, are not only gluten free, but yeast free, dairy free, GMO free, sulphite free, egg free, nut free, wheat free, vegan and contain no artificial colours or flavours. In other words — absolutely GUILT FREE! What is this witchcraft?! There are so many scrumptious flavours to try… why not grab a few extras for the kids’ lunchboxes.

The Prices Wine vineyard is located over 40 acres of prime grape production in South Australia’s McLaren Vale region. Come and sample some of their favourite drops, and support our incredible local wine industry.
Their motto is ‘every sip tells a story’, and you’re encouraged to add your own story to the bottle every time you take a sip. Well this sounds like a fun little mission to me! Come and sample the different flavoured gins they have to offer and choose a flavour that tickles your taste buds.
Vendors
What better way to spoil Mum than with some self care. With their therapeutic range of essential oils, magnesium products and aromatherapy blends, you’re bound to find Mum a gift that makes her feel pampered. Perhaps some nice bath salts will be required after her big day of shopping.
If the thought of shopping for unique accessories excites you, then this stall is a must. The jewellery range alone is heavenly, but you will also be tempted by the extensive range of other accessories on offer. Bags, scarves, keychains, belts, headbands and scrunchies just to name a few. Is it too early to start collecting stocking fillers?
Canton Rose was born out of the desire to create beautiful designs for the modern woman that are made from quality fabric, stylish and ageless. Sounds like a YES to me!
What better way to enter the cooler months than with a new heat pack. The hot (or cold) packs from Chatterbox City are different though — they not only LOOK amazing with their stylish 100 percent cotton covers, but they’re also filled with Lupins (a type of legume) instead of wheat. This makes it a great option for people with a wheat sensitivity. When heated, lupins are also odour free and don’t sweat like the traditional wheat bags do.
While you’re there — check out the colourful and unique jewellery this stall has to offer as well.
Looking for some colourful products to brighten up your home? Coterie has the most playful plates, glassware, accessories and gifts. These homewares are guaranteed to be conversation starters.

Say goodbye to cheap and nasty candles that are full of toxins. After many months of testing wicks, waxes and fragrances, Susanna (a.k.a the candle lady) has developed 100 percent eco soy candles that are not only toxin free, but highly scented and long lasting as well! Take my money!
Imagine this — buying a silk scarf which has been lovingly hand-dyed with colours derived COMPLETELY from plants, flowers and vegetables! Jenni from Garden to Gallery is hands-on in this whole process — from the planting of the various flowers, to the harvesting, designing, dyeing and finally composting all the waste to complete the whole cycle. How eco-friendly and inspiring is that?!
Pet accessories… but make them aesthetic. It’s a yes from me! Fun, fashionable dog leads, harnesses, and even poop bag holders will have your pet strutting down the street with style. If you want to take it to the next level — buy them a bow tie or bandana… or even a hoodie for winter. You know you want to!
Kate is a self taught artist who’s love of making whimsical creations has landed her a career in art, illustration and pattern design. Looking at her bright, playful and unique work — it’s easy to see why! Come and grab yourself something to brighten up your day: an apron, a tea towel, a pencil case or a scarf.

Zara and Gordon Harris are the talent behind this Adelaide based leadlight business and every single piece of stained glass in their collection is made solely by them. There are so many unique pieces to choose from ranging from jewellery boxes, picture frames, candle holders. Sun catchers, Christmas decorations and terrariums.
Come and check out this range of unique screen printed t-shirts, jewellery and accessories. While you’re there, for those who love comfort AND style — they’re also the home of the scrunchie watch band… the name says it all. There are so many designs to choose from, you may just want to buy a few to match your outfit or mood!
Milk Collective was created to provide those high quality, everyday pieces that everyone needs in their wardrobe. With a selection of t-shirts, hoodies, shorts and hats on offer, you’re bound to find a few fresh staples to replace those stained and worn out pieces clogging up your wardrobe.
Here you’ll find a range of women’s and children’s apparel, wedding accessories, gifts and decor. Having been a family run company from 1975, and being passed down through the generations, you can feel the heart and soul that goes into every piece they offer.

With over 30 years of styling experience, Sydney Street prides itself on exceptional customer service, effortless style and the finest quality clothing. Why not treat mum to a new piece for her wardrobe and have her walk out of Mother’s Day feeling like a million bucks.
This is a new Adelaide business who repurposes old timber and other great finds (such as SA found seaglass), to make art, boxes, frames and other unique pieces for your home or for gifts. It’s basically upcycling on steroids… and mother nature is not mad about it!
Are you someone who struggles with the cold? Thermal Theory provides clothing options that offer core warmth and wind protection without looking like they were designed for a polar expedition (ie fugly). As they say, ‘There’s no bad weather, just bad clothing.’ I think I need to stock up for an icy season of spectating the kid’s winter sport!
Flavour lovers — this one’s for you. All the jarred goodness your taste buds could dream of: chilli oils, condiments, pickles and ferments. Drooling! The best part is, they’re all made from South Australian ingredients!
