In airline fleets all around the world, the Boeing 747 — the Queen of the Skies — is abdicating her throne. Qantas is no exception. As with most other 747 operators, the Australian airline is phasing out the inefficient four-engine vessel for newer, more fuel-efficient aircraft. Although it was a relatively late adopter of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Qantas is going all in on the newer aircraft.
